When we got home Olivia was in a VERY good mood. While I was feeding her her pre-bedtime snack w/ her medication she started laughing really hard. She has been doing that alot lately, just busting up laughing at nothing in particular. During her laughing spell she grabbed the end of her nose and then looked at me VERY seriously. Still holding on to the tip of her nose she smiled at me & exclaimed, "NOS!"
K'bree & I just busted up laughing with her! We were VERY shocked! We haven't really been pushing for her to say nose, but she just decided to spit it out. She then went on to grab my nose & then K'bree's nose & kept exclaiming, "NOS!" really loud.
And for those of you who don't know. Olivia has a speech delay and doesn't form many complete words, so her spitting out a word on her own is a BIG deal. It has only happened one other time that I can remember off the top of my head. And that was recently also with "Hat" which is one of the only words she can say completely.
GO Olivia!!!
The funniest part of the entire evening was when Olivia went into her room after she had eaten and gotten her jammies on. K'bree was playing with her and reading a book. Olivia laid down on the floor, fussed for 2 seconds and then passed out on the floor! That NEVER happens!! I actually was able to take a hot bath to soak away some of the pain I was in while she just snoozed on the floor in her room. When I picked her up to put her to bed, she didn't even bat an eyelash. I changed her diaper and tucked her in without her even opening her eyes at all! I was shocked!
Here is hoping that she gets a great night's sleep!
